It may not be as respective as in past times, but it still shows that the owner of a Zakum Helmet is a (somewhat) experienced player that stoods out of the rest of the Maple community.
However, in order to get your Zakum helmet (1) you need to be level 50 or higher & will have to finish all 3 stages of the Zakum dungeon quest.
Firstly, if you reached the required level, talk to the 3rd Job instructor of your class in El Nath, Chief's Residence, and click Please allow me to do the Zakum Dungeon Quest.

Once that's done head over to "El Nath: The Door to Zakum" where Adobis (NPC)

2.0 The Zakum Dungeon quest
To be able to enter "Last Mission: Zakum's Altar" (and fight Zakum) you will need at least one Eye of Fire

Talk to Adobis (NPC) and click Explore the Dead Mine. (Level 1). (Make sure to be in a Party.) You will be sent to "Adobis' Mission I: Unknown Dead Mine".
Your mission is to collect 7 The Key




Guide to finish Level 1

If you just want to finish this Level without getting Dead Mine Scrolls ignore the parts where the Documents are mentioned. (It's not necessary to get these scrolls in order to be able to enter Zakum. However, with these you'll reach The Door to Zakum faster, since you skip the whole Nath Dungeon upon using a scroll. (You will end up at the first Dead Mine map.))
This displays the map where you start at (main chamber) & chamber 16 on the right side. (Scroll a bit to the side to be able to fully see it.)

Map Legend:
- Unless indicated, all rooms have documents.

Explaining each chamber:
You will need to collect all 7 The Key and have one person in party drop them in front of the LARGE chest in 16-5. The chest will open and a Fire ore will pop out of it. Collect the Fire ore and exit out to the main room. The Party leader then must collect ALL documents and Fire ore (if necessary) from the other party members first before talking to Aura (NPC). If you succeed in collecting the Fire ore (which is a must) and at least 30 documents (total possible to collect is 32), each person in the party will receive 20,000 Experience, 5 Return to Dead Mine scrolls and a Piece of Fire Ore when they exit through the portal. Note the leader of the party must leave last or none of the party member that leave after him will get any Experience nor the needed Piece of Fire ore at all.
If your party consists of 2 or less member and time is an issue for you, concentrate on getting just the 7 keys (typical time to complete just this portion of the quest is between 8 to 12 minutes) and get the Fire ore in 16-5 to bring back to Aura (NPC). Each person in the party will get 12,000 Experience and a Piece of Fire Ore when they exit through the portal.

Room 16 - Inner Chamber
This room contains the entrance to the 6 other rooms.
Attacking chests in this inner chamber could possibly teleport you back out to
the main chamber and you would need to go back in through room 7 or 10 to get back here.

Room 16-2
Room 16-2 contains a key in a chest. Attack each chest until the key is found.

Room 16-5 contains a document in a chest and a key in a rock. Find the KEY first, then look for the document. If the party already has 30 documents or more, the document in the chest can be skipped. Once the key is found, drop ALL of the keys in front of the LARGE chest (it's bigger than any of the
other ones in the room) and wait. After a few seconds, a Fire ore
will appear. Pick up the Fire ore and bring it to the NPC Aura in the main
chamber.
Room 16-6
Room 16-6 contains a document in a rock.
-> Chests in this room do not contain
any important drops. Once you find the document, exit the room.

Talk once again to Adobis (NPC) but this time click Observe the Zakum Dungeon. (Level 2).
Level 2 will be the hardest part of the Zakum quest for most people.
It is a Jump quest with 2 rooms.
Even though I could try to explain how to jump and when to do it, best would be to watch a video about it.

Once you made it through both of the rooms talk to Lira (NPC)

The last Level of the Zakum Dungeon quest requires you to collect 30 Zombie's Lost Gold Tooth. Either buy them or hunt them at Minor Zombies.
