The last of the Adventurer updates has finally been released to Tespia, with changes to the Thief and Pirate classes! They did skip over Dual Blade and Cannon Shooter, although there were some changes to them that are really interesting. They also added the new Adventurer storyline, the Free Advancement system and a reorganization the the profession system!

New NPCs and illustrations have been added in the data. Could those two blonde characters be Zero and Ether, the new jobs being added with the Child of God content?
The guy with glasses is the one from the trailer I believe, who was talking with the Black Mage’s commanders… interesting.
Two new hairs have been added to the creation of Adventurers, the Kerning City hair for males and Nautilus hair for females.
Adventurer Magicians now advance at level 10 like the rest of the classes.
Dual Blade and Cannon Shooters have been incorporated into regular Adventurers. Their Cash storages have been merged (now all Adventurers share them). Phantom can now steal their skills just like the rest of the Adventurers!
All Adventurer pirates will now receive the Master of Swimming and Master of Storage passives that Cannon Shooter had.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention but Dual Blades and Cannon Shooter can also choose these hairs for their creation now, they’ll also receive the new clothes that Adventurers got.
An Adventurer storyline has been added! Now, when you create one, you’ll receive the Adventurer’s Logbook which records your progress for these quests along with a summary and a picture. I believe each job has their own set of stories (the above are for the thief).
It’s sort of cool really, you meet these NPCs that are modelled after other characters and jobs. For example, if you play a thief, you’ll meet an archer named Olivia who asks you to help her.

Adventurers have received an Emblem slot! Along with it comes three new Emblems.
As you can see, there are three (Silver gives 5 all stats and 1 attack/magic attack, Gold gives 10 all stats and 2 attack/magic attack, and Crystal gives 15 all stats and 3 attack/magic attack).
What’s interesting though is that you get the Silver one at level 60, the Gold one at level 100, and the Crystal one at level 160. Does this mean 5th job will be taking place at level 160?
The Free Advancement system mentioned during the RED update conference has been added! With it, you can choose to switch to a different job within your class (e.g. if you are a Hero, you can switch to Paladin or Dark Knight). However, there are some conditions.
- You must be a 4th job Adventurer
- You must have either enough Free Advancement Coins or mesos (the cost depends on your level as well as how many times you have changed jobs, e.g. a level 201 had to pay 471m mesos but another SS I saw it only cost 26m)
- You can only change jobs once per day
- All your SP and mastery levels will be reset
- If the job you are switching to uses a different main stat (e.g. Captain to Viper), your AP will be switched
- If the job you are switching to has a Link Skill, you will gain that Link Skill (and vice versa, meaning you cannot get the Cannon Shooter Link Skill on a Captain or Viper)
- After switching, you will get a level 100 weapon of the job you switched to
The Profession system has been reorganized!
- You can now learn mining and herb collecting at the same time
- You no longer need pickaxes or shovels in order to mine/collect, but you can still use upgraded ones if you wish
- The amount of item crystals acquired when breaking down equipment has been adjusted
- Producing items level 120 or below (except for certain ones) no longer requires recipes
- The amount of crafting items you can hold in one slot has been increased
- Some items’ required crafting items and fatigue have been changed, creation waiting time has been added
- A cooldown has been added to fatigue restoring potions
There are two new extracting machines, the first for Cubes (it says you can extract Strange Cubes and produced Cubes… can we now use professions to make Cubes?) and the second for Scrolls (for scrolls, recipes, and Flames)! Thanks to Spadow for the images!
A new artisan and scholar systems have been added to professions. Now, after you get level 10 of equipment production, jewel crafting, or alchemy, you can raise your mastery level (through the same methods of creating items to gain experience)! In addition, you will gain a special effect around you when your mastery level is high.
A higher mastery level means you will be able to create items with a higher chance and possibly upgrade them. You can also gain access to new recipes (like new face accessories, potions which give boss damage, defense ignore, % all stats). These new recipes will require items dropped by boss monsters over level 160.
These include the new Meister set which you can see here: Character > Accessory > Earring/Ring and Character > Weapon. The Meister Earrings (level 140) give 5 all stats, 500 HP and MP, 4 attack/magic attack with 6 slots, the Meister Ring (level 140) gives 5 all stats, 200 HP and MP, 3 attack/magic attack with 1 slot.
The weapons themselves are comparable to Fafnir, they are level 145 and have high attack with 10% defense ignore, 30% boss damage and 8 slots. They are untradeable upon equipping and require Platinum Scissors of Karma. If you wear all three items, you will get a set bonus of 60 attack and magic attack and 10% HP and MP!
The personality trait system received some small changes. Empathy has had its effect of increasing quest experience changed to increased buff duration, and insight has received an additional effect of ignoring a certain percentage of monsters’ elemental resistance.

- Elemental Charge: while playing, keeping track of Elemental Charge’s short buff duration was stressful during bosses, therefore the duration has been removed (Elemental Charge buffs will now stack permanently), damage reduction from this skill applies to % HP attacks, stacks with Shadower’s Smokescreen, now increases your defense cap to 20,000
- Flame Charge: blunt weapon effect has been added
- Blizzard Charge: blunt weapon effect has been added
Knight
- Lightning Charge: blunt weapon effect has been added
- Combat Orders: since you must use 2nd job skills in order to maximize Lightning Charge’s damage, the passive damage boost to Flame Charge and Blizzard Charge has been increased from 55% to 70%

- Blast: damage has been increased from 290% to 318%, number of hits has been increased from 6 to 7, blunt weapon effect has been added

- Backstep Shot: can now be used in the air up to 3 times in a row, effect has been renewed

Valkyrie
- New! Assemble Crew: Summon Crew is enhanced. Randomly summon two of the brave crewmembers from the Nautilus to fight alongside you for 120 seconds, they will be able to move freely and attack enemies. A new crewmember, Stoner, is added and he deals 320% damage on up to 6 enemies. Valerie’s damage is increased to 300%, Muirhart’s damage is increased to 310%, and Jack’s damage is increased to 240%. When you fail to resist an abnormal state (only applies to very bad statuses such as stun or seduce), one of your crewmembers will absorb it and disappear instead. There is a cooldown of 120 seconds. (max level: 10)
- Double Barrel Shot: damage has been increased from 450% to 459%, number of monsters hit has been increased from 6 to 8, delay has been decreased
- Hollow Point Bullet: no longer consumes bullets

Captain
- Rapid Fire: can now move while using this skill, mastering this skill allows you to use Battleship Bomber
- New! Battleship Bomber: Shoot bouncing bombs at your enemies from your battleship, which explode on contact or after 1.5 seconds, dealing 540% damage on up to 6 enemies continuously as your skill key is held down. You can press left or right to move. Every 10th bomb will instantly kill enemies or deal 800% damage 4 times on bosses. This skill has 100% critical chance and ignores 40% defense. If you are using Continual Aiming, the bombs will follow the marked enemy. You cannot put SP into this skill directly, it is based off of Rapid Fire. Rapid Fire’s Reinforce and Boss Killer Hypers affect this skill. (max level: 30)
- New! Quick Draw: When activated, the next skill used will have its damage increased by 30%. Passive effect: there is an 8% chance to activate Quick Draw when you attack. (max level: 10)
