kMS ver. 1.2.211 – Return of the Mystic Gates & The Seed Changes

ver. 1.2.211
This patch is sort of boring, just the last Tespia patch released to the real server. Still no enhancement or potential changes, I guess they’re still being tested.
But there’s some cool events and MapleStory 2 pictures I will also be talking about so read on! Oh and I finally updated my collections page after like… 2 years (I have 100 chairs now!).
Mystic Gate Locations
Mystic Gates have reappeared in Maple World, in Henesys, Pantheon, and Leafre. Join together with other Maplers and fight the bosses in these towns!
Anyone level 75 or higher can participate, and the bosses will appear every weekend in March. Before a boss spawns, a message will be sent to all channels.
Mystic Gate Icon
You can also use the Mystic Gate icon on the left side of your screen to warp to one of the three towns above. However, you can only use this once every 20 minutes.
Mystic Gate UI
Inside the Mystic Gate, you’ll find the NPC Professor Moon, a summoning circle, and the Attack Ranking. When a boss spawns, fight it to appear on the Attack Ranking! A boss will appear for 15 minutes before disappearing if it isn’t defeated in time.
If you die inside the Mystic Gate, you won’t lose experience but you’ll respawn back in town. You can reenter the Mystic Gate an unlimited number of times.
Mystic Gate Researcher and Master
Professor Moon will have some quests for you to complete. There’s one for each of the 5 bosses that can spawn (Zakum, Horntail, Hilla, Van Leon, Arkarium), each awarding you with experience based on your level (once per day). You also get 20 Cross Coins for the first boss you defeat per day.
He also has two medal quests, the first is the Mystic Gate Researcher medal which gives 5 all stats, 3 attack and magic attack. You can get it by opening 100 boss items from Mystic Gates. The second is the Mystic Gate Master medal which gives 10 all stats, 4 attack and magic attack. This one requires 200 boss item.
Note: these quests will carry over any progress from the last time Mystic Gates were here!
Boss Reward Items
Based on the damage you have done, you might appear on the Attack Ranking! Your place will determine the amount of boss items you’ll get. First place gets 6, second place gets 5, third place gets 4, fourth place gets 3, fifth place gets 2, and everyone else will get 1.
However, if you do no damage, you will not get a prize.
Boss Rewards
You can open these boss items for a variety of rewards, depending on which boss was defeated!

Completing a practice room will not allow you to enter the next floor, nor will it give you any prizes. Any Hazy Stones you have equipped will be used up when entering. Finley will not appear in practice floors.
World and Channel Select Screen
Finally, for the first time in a long time, the world/channel select screen has been updated!
Look, you can see my new world Luna, which is a combination of Khaini, Plana, Stius, Windia, Galicia/Medere/Culverin/Fleta, and Meriel/Leona/Aster (so yeah… pretty big).
Elite Boss Souls
Oh and Boss Souls have been added for the five Elite Bosses.
Auction House Quick Move
The Auction House has been added to the Quick Move UI. If you’re not on channel 19 already, it will automatically teleport you there.
March Royal Hair
The March Royal Hairs have been released!
Trendy Royal Faces
There’s also the Trendy Royal Faces.
Chihuahua Pets
The new Cookie, Caramel, and Choco Huahua pets have been released!
Come to the Mission!! Event
A new event called Come to the Mission!! has begun and will run until March 27. Basically, each day you can complete a daily quest for 30 Scroll Traces, up to 3 times per day.
The quests are really easy, and they generally require you to either: party with someone of a specific level, job, fame, etc., or get a certain Combo Kill or Multi Kill.
Honey Honey! Event
And this is the Honey? Honey! event, I actually think its super cute and fun! It will run until March 13.
Butterfly's Honey
To participate, you’ll have to collect Butterfly’s Honey by killing monsters around your level, but it’s not an item drop. Think of it like WP from monsters for Zero, or collecting souls for Soul Weapons. When the bar fills up, you get 1 Honey.
Butterflies don’t make honey… so I guess this event has to do with beeterflies? Butterbees? Beeflies?
My Unique Butterfly
You can use your honey in the Unique Butterfly window! Basically, everyone gets their own butterfly to customize and play with~ Each option changes one part of the butterfly randomly (from left to right its antennae, face, body, wings).
The last option is ‘play’ and gives 3 hearts to your butterfly.
Honey Butterfly Riding
Everyone also receives a special Honey Butterfly riding mount (which can also fly) for free! It’s permanent and its appearance will be based off of your unique butterfly!
There’s so many choices and combinations, I don’t know how I’ll decide what I’m gonna go with…
Butterfly Gifts
If you get 10 hearts in one day, you can also get a special gift from your butterfly.
Butterfly Titles
Each day you get 10 hearts, you qualify for a new title! These actually have really great stats, but sadly, they expire 30 days after you get them…
The first one gives 4 all stats, 1 attack and magic attack while the last gives 10 all stats and 7 attack and magic attack!
Empress Ereb
Let’s move on to MapleStory 2. Oooh its information about that girl from previous pictures! I guess people were right when they thought she was an Empress, I guess she’s the first Empress of Maple World since her name is actually Ereb! The island was named after her?
It was then.
There was an aura of sadness in her eyes when she passed by.
Even those she was talking with could not notice that one moment.
Quickly, Ereb returned to looking happy with her bright and gentle smile, and the Empress’ Garden regained its warm sunshine.
But after walking away, she seemed different than usual.
Like a little bird trembling before a storm’s waves.
With a responsibility to take care of the world’s well-being, the dedication and respect of everyone in Maple World, it might be too much weight for her fragile shoulders.
In the Traia Palace’s Garden stood someone unknown.
She shook with fear as she saw the identity of the threat.
Bella Vid-Bleim
Look, it’s Bella again! This one gives a bit of her backstory, which actually seems sad…
Sometimes, my head hurts like its about to break.
Each time it happens, a faint memory resurfaces.
A rough white beard against my cheek, a hug with a warm smile, promising me that no matter what, he’d protect me.
But my life, the meaning of my existence, was taken away from me and thrown away by them.
My hatred will never stop.
Even though I am here now, I will strike fear into their hearts and throw them into the flames of hatred with my own hands.
