As April comes to a close, Nexon sort of cheaped out on their announcement of Flame Wizard being released in April, there’s only like two more days left haha. Anyways, along with Flame Wizard, this patch includes the 11th Anniversary of MapleStory as well as some system changes and of course, new events!
There’s also a few new MapleStory 2 teasers which I will be talking about, so read on~
The Flame Wizard has been reorganized! They now feature a unique attacking system, with the skill Orbital Flame. When used, this skill acts as a boomerang and will return to your character after being shot out!
In addition, Orbital Flame can be used in conjunction with the directional keys to make it go in any direction you would like!
Flame Wizard’s character card gives 0.5/1/1.5/2 magic damage per character level.

Let’s move on to MapleStory 2. This one was posted by the design team, and they talked about how the graphics of MapleStory 2 will be influenced by the previous game. They want to make cute and unique characters, with many different kinds of worlds and bright graphics which express style.
The images at the bottom are fanart of the new characters.
Since we have posted half of the 8 jobs so far (Knight, Berserker, Wizard, and Priest), today we would like to explain their weapons in more detail.Only 3 more jobs to go! I wonder how the Gunslinger job will look~
LARGE SWORD
The Large Sword is both large and heavy, it requires the use of both hands to swing. They are very slow, but have a wide range and are deadly if an enemy is hit. Only a Berserker can freely weild this gigantic sword.
LONG SWORD & SHIELD
The Long Sword is extremely fast and can deal steady damage to enemies. Equipping a Shield on the left hand helps to prevent enemy attacks completely. After using the Shield to block and attack enemies, the Long Sword helps the Knight finish the job.
SCEPTER & SPELL BOOK
The weapon with a sacred symbol carved into the end of the handle is called a Scepter. Priests carry a Spell Book with them in their left hands as well. Using the Scepter, Priests decisively punish enemies and create miracles.
STAFF
A Staff is unsuitable to weild as a regular weapon. However, they contain a mysterious strength instead. Wizards use these long sticks to create tremendous magic.
Thanks to their outstanding eyesight and strength, once an arrow is fired, no matter how far an enemy is, it will never astray. With a swift and light body and brilliant movements in emergenices, the Ranger devastates enemies on the battlefield.
——————–
Rangers are a part of the vigilante group called the Green Hoods, founded by the legendary archer Hastur. The Fifth Captain Oscar monitors Henesys and the surrounding area. Traia and Henesys are geologically close, and there is seemingly a relationship between the royal family and the Green Hoods. There is a rumour that they are related to the royal family and carry out unofficial activities in secret, but it has not been confirmed.
The cool and precise Rangers show an innocent look when dealing with animals, and they are always accompanied by their eagle friends.
