Another new job after dual blade!?

A new patch. Two new jobs. They are Resistance.

What is Resistance? Currently it’s unknown what Resistance is.
There is no storyline and quests yet. If you create a Resistance character, you can choose between 2 jobs: Battle Mage or Wild Hunter.

I think I am going to raise a Wild Hunter and not a Battle Mage, but don’t be afraid. I will still upload videos of Battle Mages.
Resistance are not Heroes nor Adventurers.

When I logged on and created a Resistance character, I was warped to Maple Island and saw that there were no quests, which is a bug.
When you become Lv. 10, you can choose between Battle Mage or Wild Hunter.

What is a Battle Mage?

A Battle Mage is a combat type magician.
Battle Mage can use aura skills, these aura skills can grant you different abilities.
This job can only use staves!

  • Dark Aura (1st job) – Improves the damage of your party members (10% damage when maxed)
  • Blue Aura (2nd job) – Absorbs the damage of your party members (30% damage received & absorbed when maxed)
  • Yellow Aura (2nd job) – Improves the movement and attack speed of your party members (+20 speed & +1 attack speed when maxed)
  • Advanced Blue Aura (3rd job) – An advanced version of Blue Aura. It also improves your defense (30% damage received & absorbed and +100 defense when maxed)
  • Advanced Dark Aura (4th job) – An advanced version of Dark Aura. (20% damage when maxed)
  • Advanced Yellow Aura (4th job) – An advanced version of Yellow Aura. It also slows down the speed of a monster. (+40 Speed & +2 attack speed and decreases the speed of a monster by 30)

Pretty nice skills. But what’s a magician without an ultimate, right?

▲ Dark Genesis

Unleash the light of darkness on 15 enemies. Cooldown time of 1 minute.

At Lv. 30 it consumes 500 MP and has 970 basic attack.

There is another awesome looking skill.

▲ Cyclone

To move quickly, change your body into a form of a whirlwind for 10 seconds. While in the form of a whirlwind, use the arrow keys to move left or right while damaging monsters. Cooldown time of 1 minute.

At Lv. 30 it consumes 54 MP and has 770 basic attack.

What is a Wild Hunter?

A Wild Hunter is a hunter that’s able to move quickly and attack fast while riding a Jaguar.
This hunter uses different skills from Bow Master and Crossbow Master.
This job can only use crossbows!

I choose for the Wild Hunter because I always disliked the Archer job (aside from Wind Breaker) and I think this time it can change my mind.
However, I’m Lv. 50+ on Tespia right now and the first 30 levels were BORING!

A Wild Hunter will have Triple Show in 1st job, shooting three arrows at once is impressive. But that’s the only attacking skill you got. You can also hop on your Jaguar to move yourself faster.
Jaguar Riding will give you +30 speed and +15 avoidability.

Wild Hunter will be very good when it is Lv. 120 or higher.
Take a look at this.

▲ Flash Rain

Launch a huge rotating cogwheel that will release an amount of arrows. The arrows will cause an explosion when hit on the ground.

At Lv. 30, Flash Rain consumes 500 MP and does 1200% damage.

▲ Nerve Gas

Launch an arrow with gas bomb in it that penetrates through a monster. Extra EXP can be earned when a monster is defeated while in a special condition.

At Lv. 30, Nerve Gas consumes 46 MP and raises the EXP by 40%.

Wild Hunters get impressive skills. When I read Mine, I thought about mining, but it’s not mining.
Look below to see how Mine works.

▼ Mine

Activating Mine…

While I am riding on my Jaguar, I suddenly see that it’s pooping something. ‘o’…

What the hell!! The mine exploded in the face of the poor Sand Rabbit.

▼ Jaguar Roar

My Jaguar can roar. When it roars to a monster, it will rush the monster forward and stuns it for a couple of seconds.
Roarrrrr~!

▼ Swallow

My Jaguar can swallow like the best! When it swallows a monster, he can either attack multiple monsters or save it for a buff. There are different kind of buffs that I can get.

In 3rd job there is a skill called Riding Mastery. This improves the ability of Jaguar Riding.

Lv. 20 Riding Mastery gives +10 speed, +20 avoidability and riding attack damage increased by 40%. A guild member tested this and said the attack damage affected his crossbow!
Wild Hunters have more skills such as Sniping and Sharp Eyes.

I’m not going to post all the skill data. Right now I’m really busy and I hope you understand. In July I have exams coming up and I have to study really hard to pass all the exams.

Anyway, I already uploaded a video of a Wild Hunter 1st job on YouTube. Most likely a second video will come in a few days. Please anticipate for it ^^;

Currently there are only two jobs in the Resistance category. In this patch several job IDs were added to quest data and skill data.
The job ID of Battle Mage is 3200 and the job ID of Wild Hunter is 3300. Both quest and skill data were available for these two jobs.

Then there is a third job ID 3500, only added to quest data.

So what does this mean?
A pirate job part of Resistance is currently under development.

A few weeks ago new skill names were added. When I read the skill names of Battle Mage and Wild Hunter, I can tell that a few skill names were left out. Like Gatling Show, Lasergun and Drill.

So does this mean that the next job after Battle Mage & Wild Hunter is the Mechanic? I think so.

In the job selection window, you can see two shadows.

The shadow means that this image isn’t complete yet.
The same was done with Aran. When Aran was released in Tespia, two shadows were shown in the job selection window. Later this was changed.

Time will tell.
