Finally! The patch containing the reorganized Soul Master (Dawn Warrior) has been released! It also includes a newly updated chat system as well as a visual remake ofHenesys! There are a lot of Monster Life additions but I won’t be going over them because Monster Life sucks. Read on for more information~
Oh yeah, the 10th anniversary patch will be coming soon! They added some preview events in the real server so I’ll talk about those too!
An Easy Mode has been added for the boss Arkarium. To enter, you can choose which mode you want at the entrance of the existing boss. If you can clear Easy Mode Arkarium, you will receive random prizes of some of the items that Normal Mode would give you.
Note, the one per day limit is shared between Easy Mode and Normal Mode. You cannot enter both in one day.
They also added the Makinator Pendant, as a prize from both Easy and Normal Arkarium. It gives 10 to all stats, 250 HP and MP, 1 attack and magic attack, with 2 slots. It can be traded with the Platinum Scissors of Karma.
Henesys has been visually reworked! I think it looks great, but I definitely will miss the old version, just because of nostalgia, haha. They even updated the NPCs!
- Six Paths Crossway
- Henesys Outskirts
- Archer Training Center
- Maya’s House
- Chief Stan’s House
- Rina’s House
- Henesys Weapon Shop
- Henesys Potion Shop
- Henesys Tanning Salon
- Henesys Hair Shop
- Henesys Plastic Surgery
- Free Market
- Free Market <Room 1>
The messenger system has been revamped into the Chat system! There are three options now, 1:1 chat, buzz chat, and friend chat. 1:1 is where you are paired with a random person to talk one on one, buzz chat is a chatroom with a large number of users to talk about anything, and friend chat lets you talk to a group of friends you choose.
There’s also a like system for the chat now, you can receive it from others. There’s even a ranking, it gets reset once a week. A new NPC has been added called Irene in Henesys, for the new chat system.
Cygnus, Xerxes, and Zakum souls have been added for the Soul Weapon system.
Two new sets of pets have been released, the first consists of the Petite Red, Blue, and Purple pets. The second is based on the Root Abyss sealing guardians!
Oh yeah, today the MapleStory homepage updated its design because of the upcoming 10th anniversary! I think it looks really nice, way better than before, haha.
The MapleStory 10th Anniversary Public event has begun and will run until May 6. Basically, this is just a precursor event, you can send in your fanart of MapleStory to show off to others! If you get enough votes, you can even win Maple Points!
Everyone who sends something in receives a Public Participant medal which gives 3 attack and magic attack (permanent!).
There’s also the 10th Anniversary Advertising Model Selection event! Basically they’re looking for people with great quotes to celebrate the 10th anniversary. Those who get chosen will get a Model Participant medal (5 attack and magic attack, permanent!) and Maple Points!
The MapleStory Black Day Couple Heart Breaker event has begun and will run until April 30!
Hunt down those dumb Couple Monsters (because obviously you’re single and you hate anyone in love) to collect some drops.
They’ll drop Black Day Solo Food (this gives you Solo Points), Pendants, Couple Rings, and if you’re lucky, a Love Letter or a Black Day Iron Bag (which can give you Solo Pendant or Solo Ring scrolls or potions).
As you collect Solo Points from Couple Monsters, you’ll be eligible for prizes! 30,000 points gets you the Maple Always Solo medal (3 attack and magic attack, 4 all stats) and 80,000 gets you the Maple Heart Breaker medal (6 attack and magic attack, 8 all stats).
However, they expire in 30 days…
Collect 10 Pendants or Couple Rings from Couple Monsters and you’ll be able to trade them in for real equipment! The Great Solo Ring gives 1 all stats with 3 slots, and the Great Solo Pendant gives 1 attack and magic attack with 5 slots.
However, these too expire in 30 days…
The Soul Master, having stronger souls than anyone else, have been reborn to use the strength of the sun and the moon. By borrowing the power of the Falling Moon and Rising Sun, they bring them together with Solunar Time. Some skills might become different based on this mechanic.
In non-Nexon terms, the new Soul Master uses two ‘stances’ (not really, but that’s a good way of putting it). One is Falling Moon and the other is Rising Sun. Some skills will be different based on which mode you’re in, you’ll notice this when the two skills have the same icon. There is also the Solunar Time state in fourth job that lets you have the benefits of both!
Note: You won’t be able to use the Rising Sun versions of skills in second job until third job. Also, the two skills share one icon I believe, so you don’t have to level them up separately.
